Press Releases Eastern Airways appoints Europcar
Eastern Airways have appointed Europcar as the airline’s new preferred car rental provider. The exclusive car rental agreement came into effect on 23 May 2003. As part of the agreement, all Eastern passengers will receive a 10 percent discount on their Europcar vehicle hire. "The key to the appointment was Europcar’s unrivalled network of locations, their commitment to a high level of customer service and the technology Europcar will use in supporting Eastern Airways’ customers" said Richard Lake, Managing Director Eastern Airways. Passengers calling the Eastern Airways reservations centre can be directly transferred to the airline’s very own dedicated reservations section at Europcar. In addition Eastern’s website "We are delighted that Eastern Airways has decided to make Europcar their preferred car rental partner" said Carl Gothard, Direct Sales Manager for Europcar UK. He added, "We feel the quality of service offered by Eastern Airways is mirrored by our own strong customer service values and together we can offer total mobility to Eastern Airways travellers." This summer, Eastern Airways has seen its network expand by 60% with new regional destinations. Eastern will be operating over 100 scheduled flights each weekday and this year will carry some 340,000 passengers on a network embracing Aberdeen, Belfast, Birmingham, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Humberside, Inverness, Isle of Man, Leeds Bradford, London Stansted, Southampton, Manchester, Newcastle, Norwich, Teesside and Wick.
